Other great resources are the Eltsin Presidential Library www.prlib.ru and Google Books, which has pdfs of hundreds (thousands?) of interesting works from the 19th century, including almost every issue of Russkaia Starina.  Now, if they would only scan Voennyi Sbornik...</description>
