It has been published by izvestija CK KPSS in 1991, n°6, pp.218-220.
And yes, podpol&#039;shchiki can be just anything, but since World War II, everybody will first associate it with member of the anti-fascist underground - partisans being the armed resistance, podpol&#039;shchiki the more political one. Partisans were also, as most guerrillas, operating in rural areas, forests and marches, whereas podpol&#039;shchiki were about the only ones operating in urban environment.
